Dog-friendly beaches on Krk island, Kvarner

Malinska-Dubašnica area 

Staying in the area of Malinska-Dubašnica, you can take your dog for some beach fun to Ribarsko selo and Uhlić. Both are just outside Malinska.  

Ribarsko selo is located near Haludovo complex right at the start of the Rajska cesta (Cro. paradise road)  hiking trail in beautiful Mediterranean surroundings.  There is also a beach bar and a parking lot near this pebbly beach. 

Similarly lovely, with plenty of pine tree shade, is the Uhlić beach in Porat. Apart from hiking along the trails, you can also take the tourist train to get there.  

Njivice - Omišalj area 

One of the most popular dog-friendly beaches  on Krk is Kijac, south of Njivice.  The partially rocky and pebbly beach  can be accessed on foot, by bike or car. It also has a lot of natural shade, just perfect for a day out with your dog. 

Dobrinj area 

Take your pick among pet-friendly beaches  in Čižići and Šilo! The pebbly beach Sv. Petar allows you to enjoy a lovely day by the sea. The same is true for the Tiha beach in Šilo, which can be accessed by boat, car and on foot. 

Vrbnik area 

Have a wonderful day  with your dog at the Mala Javna beach, near Vrbnik! Sheltered, with crystal clear sea, it is a great choice among the dog-friendly beaches on Krk, particularly when looking for a sense of privacy.    

The town of Baška 

Let your pet find  the perfect refreshment on a dog-friendly beach in Baška.  Situated just south of the popular central Vela plaža beach, the pebbly stretch gives your pet plenty of space to enjoy, while you sit back and relax in the natural shade. 

Punat area 

Well-known for some of the best and most secluded beaches, this area  also happens to have a couple of wonderful dog-friendly beaches. So, take your dog for a fun day on the beach in the Medana area or on Zaglav beach (near Oprna).  

The Town of Krk

Heading to the historical town of Krk for a holiday? One of the most well-known dog-friendly beaches on Krk is the pebbly Redagara beach, not far from Dražica. Look for it to enjoy the peaceful cove for some joy with your dog. It is also a lovely area for walks, every member of the family can delight in.
